I am so saddened to hear that Mike passed away. That understates the obvious, I guess. I pray for healing for you all... losing Michael is incomprehensible in so many ways. I have tons of wonderful memories of our times together, as I'm sure you all do as well, and they will always bring a smile to my face, and cheer to my heart. I'm reminded of Donovan's song "Try and Catch the Wind", here, attempting to distill all that I feel into a few short phrases. So... I won't, because I can't. He was way too complex for that, and our brotherly love will go on... that's what's important. Michael always had an abundance of it to share, and I'm thankful to God for allowing us both our kindred spirits. I'm sure he's riding that perfect wave up there right now! Hang ten Bruddah Miguelito!!! And I know he'll always be riding with me once again... Peace! ~Dan'l~

I am sad to learn of Michael's death. We were friends in high school. Of all my friends, we were the only two to call each other by last names. I guess it's because we are both Michaels. In 10th grade English class, when we got a bit rambunctious, Mrs. Pantanella would admonish us both with "Mikes!". I enjoyed listening to music with MiKelly, and we had great times on the soccer field. It's funny how you grow up with people and don't know simple details of their lives. I never realized that our mothers shared the name Bernice. My life is richer because of my fiend. I am sorry that I lost track of him, but I cherish the memories. love, smokey

Dear Nora, Mary, Caroline and Kathleen...I was shocked to see the notice of Michael's death in the paper last week. Please acccept my most sincere sympathy to you all on this great loss to your family. So many of my Liverpool memories include the Kelly kids and some amazing tackling (would start as touch and somehow turn into tackle lol) football games in the backyard. Nora will you ever forget the afternoon I went with you to have the wart removed from your foot and the bird decided to visit you in the park while we waited for your dad to pick us up? I still feel guilty about laughing so hard the construction workers were staring at us. You are all a part of my growing up memories and some very happy times. Again, I am so, so very sorry for your loss and hope that together you will get through this. If you need anything, call me. My number is in the book. Love, Joeann
