Monique Hugette LaForce, 81, of Syracuse, NY, passed away in Maryland on February 11, 2018. Monique was born on June 30, 1936 in Montreal, Canada to Joseph and Marie Bougie Lefebvre and was the wife of the late Hal Arthur LaForce. Monique graduated from St Mary's Academy in Little Falls, NY. She was a certified radiology technician who worked at Crouse-Irving Medical Center, Allied Chemical in Solvay, and the office of Dr. Patsy Iannolo in Liverpool. Monique was an Amway distributor and pioneered Amway's Canadian market. Monique was an active member of Holy Family Church serving for many years as a Eucharistic minister, and was also a member of the Carmelite community. She is predeceased by her sister, Madeline Plumadore, and is survived by her brother, Rev. James Lefebvre, retired pastor of St. Mary's Church in Albany, and sister, Louise Ferraro of Herkimer/Little Falls, NY. Monique is survived by her children and their spouses, daughter, Rachelle (Perry) Alexion of Fulton, MD; sons, Michael LaForce of Scranton, PA, Scott LaForce of Mount Dora, FL and Matthew (Roxanne) LaForce of West Linn, OR. Her grandchildren are Sylviane and William Alexion and Zennon and Boden LaForce. Services: 10:00 am Monday February 19, at Holy Family Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will be private at St. Mary's Mausoleum, DeWitt. Calling hours will be 5 to 7p.m. Sunday February 18, at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY.
