Stephen A. Keller Jr., 90, of Westvale passed away Friday. He was born in Syracuse to the late Stephen and Mabel Keller. Stephen was predeceased by a son, Patrick and his brother, Maurice. He was a graduate of Solvay High School and a US Navy Veteran of WWII serving on the aircraft carrier USS Midway. Stephen retired from the Western Union Telegraph Co after 32 years as a Service Technician. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved spending time in the Adirondacks as a member of the McCavanaugh Pond Club. Survivors: his wife of 68 years, Jane M. (O'Leary) Keller; three sons, Mark S. (Gale) of West Monroe, Gary M. (Michele) of Saratoga, Martin J. of Syracuse; daughter, Bonnie (Greg Forth) Grobsmith of Elbridge; seven grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Kot; Thomas (Susan) Grobsmith, Douglas (Holly) Grobsmith, Lindsey Keller, Sarah Keller, Scott (Wednesday) Wood, Audra (Brandan) Avila, 11 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial with military honors will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Upstate NY Chapter, 1000 Elmwood Avenue, Suite 900, Rochester, NY 14620.
