Hal's photo captures his spirit. During our years together at Niagara Mohawk he could always be counted on to be helpful and happy as well as effective. He had a certain style and grace that fit perfectly with his duties as Corporate Secretary. May he rest in peace.

Mr. Bogan was one of the most extraordinary people I have ever met in my life. I had the honor of meeting Mr. Bogan when I worked in Niagara Mohawk's Legal Department in the late 80's. Although he was a senior executive at the time, he was approachable and was always there to provide guidance and counsel. When my fragile self-esteem would crumble, Mr. Bogan always gave me the advice and confidence I needed to pursue my career. All employees had the an enormous level of respect for him. His kind, genuine, care for others will always be remembered. Although he will be missed dearly, it gives me peace knowing that he will be reunited with his beautiful wife and son and others who have left before him.
To have known Mr. Bogan was truly a blessing in my life and for that I will always be forever grateful.
Sending my love and prayers to the Bogan family.
Kind regards,
Margaret Ireland

Dear Bogan Family,
I'm very sorry to learn of your Dad's passing. It's been a bad year for that generation, as my brother and I recently lost both of our parents.
I wasn't able to make your brother Hal's funeral, nor your Mom's and it doesn't look like your Dad's either, but I will keep them in my prayers.
I was shocked 30 years ago when I read Hal's obituary. I drove through out St Mary's looking for him and figured he must have been buried in the Mausoleum. He was a good friend at St Ann's, and I'm sorry he passed so young.
My deepest condolences to all of you.

Mr. Bogan was one of the nicest gentleman I've ever known. It was a pleasure speaking to him every day at work. The picture posted here reminds me of his great smile and laugh. He was well respected at Niagara Mohawk in the very important position he held. My sincerest sympathies go out to his family.

Mike and all the Bogans, relatives, and friends:
I was saddened to hear of Hal's death. I worked with him at Niagara Mohawk for many years and considered him a good friend. I also used to see him at Wegmans regularly where we caught up with each other on the latest news.
I have missed seeing him recently, and I'm sure he will be sorely missed by many.
We will remember him in our prayers.
