Obituary of Joanne M. Rink

Joanne M. Rink February 3, 2010 Joanne Rink, of Camillus, passed away February 3, 2010 at Van Duyn Home and Hospital. Joanne was born in S. Korea in 1960 as Hyang Suk Cho. She married her husband Ralph in Korea in 1980 while he was serving in the U.S. Army. Joanne went back to the U.S. with Ralph and after his discharge in 1983 returned to Ralph's home in Auburn, NY. In 2006 they moved to Camillus, NY. Joanne became a proud U.S. citizen in 1985. She most recently worked at Tessy Plastics in Elbridge, NY for 13 years. She loved music and spending time with family. Joanne had a wonderful visit with her family in Korea in 2005 where she attended her brother Yong Han's wedding. She was a longtime member of Soka Gakkai International. She was a loving mother, sister, daughter and wife. She is survived by her husband Ralph and son Andrew Rink. Also surviving are her family members in Korea; father, Hyeong Gwon Cho, mother, Yeon Sil Go, brothers Sung Cho and Yong Han Cho, and sister Jin Suk Cho. Services: A private service will be held at a later date. Public calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday February 9 at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W. Genesee St., Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Red Cross.
