William L. Warner Sr.

William L. Warner Sr., 83, of Syracuse passed away Saturday. Born August 6, 1926 to Dorothy and Dewey Warner in Schoharie, NY. He was a US Marine Corps veteran of WWII. Bill was a retired Teamster, and had also retired from the US Post Office in 1992. He and his wife Dolores owned and operated Warner's Deli on Tipperary Hill for many years. She predeceased him in 2006. They were married for 59 years. Bill was also a member of the VFW.
Survivors: daughters, Cynthia Catalano, Lynn (Charles) Orr, Mary Jo (Michael) Murphy; sons, William (Kim) Warner Jr., Carl (Nan) Warner, Samuel (Mary Beth) Warner, Robert (Catherine) Warner; 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Services: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Church. Burial with military honors will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W. Genesee St. Syracuse.
