Obituary of Alice M. Medyn

Alice Medyn of Solvay, NY, died peacefully on July 3, 2015, at the age of 88. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Basilica. Alice had a sharp and ready wit, was an avid reader, an excellent bridge player, and enjoyed history and Chinese food. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Medyn. Survivors: her daughters, Christine Dowd of Penfield, NY and Susan Medyn (David Formanek) of Tiverton, RI; grandchildren, Anthea Brady (Shamus Brady) and Alex Formanek; brother, Chester Malys, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Basilica Of The Sacred Heart where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery, Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY.
