Obituary of Mary V. Kraushaar

Mary V. Kraushaar, 87, of Westvale passed away peacefully Monday, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Watertown, she lived most her life in the Syracuse area. She was a graduate of Central High School. Mary worked many years as a Nurse's Aide and would retire from Van Duyn. She was a 78 year communicant of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and an active member of Circle F and Circle V. Mary was an avid book reader, loved gardening, knitting, and especially liked to knit comfort shawls as gifts. She was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara Ann Covey, and son, Robert G. Kraushaar. Survivors: her husband of 66 years, Robert A. Kraushaar; daughter, Phyllis (Michael) Honsinger of Lakeland; daughter in law, Cynthia Kraushaar of Camillus; sisters in law, Betty Matthews and Beverly Kraushaar; grandchildren, Amy, Kimberly, Dean, Eric, Brian, Collin, Jennifer, Jeffrey, and 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services: 11:00 am Thursday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse.
