Obituary of Carl P. Piazza
Carl P. Piazza, 83, of Syracuse passed away Saturday. Born in Syracuse, he was a graduate of Vocational High School. He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. Carl worked for Allied Chemical for 28 years and would later retire from Church & Dwight. He was a communicant of St. Brigid & St. Joseph Church. Carl was an avid hunter and fisherman. He wintered in Cocoa Beach, FL with his wife and many friends. Survivors: his wife of 60 years, June (DeMong) Piazza; sons, Carl (Mary), Thomas, and John (Jennifer) of Somerville, MA; daughter, Jacqueline (Patrick) Salvador; grandchildren, Holly, Elizabeth, and Nicholas Piazza, Olivia and Joseph Salvador; several nieces and nephews.
Services: 9:30am Wednesday at Tindall Funeral Home and 10am at St. Brigid-St. Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal with military honors will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cardiology Department of Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, NY.
