Janine, Maria, and Carm,
I’m so sorry to hear about your father’s passing. He was a great man and I always loved him. Your parents, Maz and Pops as I called them, became my 2nd parents when Janine and I were in college. They were always such loving and happy people. I loved going over to their house for your Mom’s amazing food/ cookies, and your Dad’s jokes. Oh, and I learned to ALWAYS come hungry!
Your Dad will always live on in my memory. The expressions: I’m going to “kick you through the goal posts of life” or the reference to giving a person “cement shoes” and the song “That’s Amore” – all make me think of your Dad and laugh.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your families.
Love,
Hilary

Whether it was sitting next to Carmen in the bleachers, on a lawn chair, or in a pew, our favorite memories are of him cheering on every family member no matter what the endeavor. I'll never forget him arriving at one of Ryan's baseball games and the minute Liam turned around and saw him, his little face lit up and yelled "Papa" and he went running into his arms. Carmen just beamed!! I'm sure his heart soared with the love he received from all his family members...and you know he loved all of you dearly. We are so sorry for your loss.

We are so lucky to have Maria as our daughter-in-law. Having her in our family allowed us to know her dad, Carmen for many years. We used to kid him about wanting to adopt Maria because we love her like our own daughter. He truly was a special person with a gift for laughter and always quick with a joke or a silly song. We know how much his children and grandchildren will miss him. What a wonderful legacy, we should all be so fortunate!

Dear Ca, Maria, Janine and your wonderful families,
I don't think I need to express how much I loved your father, my Uncle C, but I do need people to know who didn't have the honor of knowing him what an incredible man he was.
He always treated me and Bobby like his own children.
He always made us laugh with his one liners and quick come backs. Even as his health was failing, he always managed to keep his wit sharp which was amazing.
What I am going to miss the most about him is his great smile and watching him polish off a plate of pasta.
It goes without saying how much he loved his family because he showed it every day through the end. But more importantly, he knew how much he was loved by all of you.
His undying love for your mother, my dear Aunt Nene was undeniable. As much as I will miss him, I am so happy that he's finally reunited with her.
It's also comforting to know we have another angel watching over us.
We miss you Uncle C but now you can rest in peace.
Annie

Marie, Carmen and Janine, How do I put into words, how each of you and your Mom and Dad are five of the happiest memories in my life. Such carefree times, the laughs, the jokes and even taking a pop in the nose that your Dad intended for Carmen. I am so grateful to my Father for introducing me to a family that I love so much. My Sarah's God Mother, Marie, you are my 3rd sister and I love you forever. If you keep someone close, in your heart, then they truly never leave you. You are all in my thoughts and prayers, and your Father will always be in my heart. Love you all
Mary Lynn
