I have thought of Mr Cole many times over the years and today I decided to see if he was still with us. Sorry to see that he has passes. He was one of those teachers that I will never forget. He went the extra mile and you knew he cared about his students.

Dear family members,
I am so sorry for your loss. As a colleague of Ron's for many years, I have many fond memories of him to cherish. His beautiful artwork adorned our school and the personal gift of "pet rocks" will always be remembered. "Eternal rest grant him O Lord and let perpetual light shine on him". With best regards. Sheila

These are 2 fungus carvings that Ronny did for me back when I was 3 and 4. They mean an awful lot to me and remind me of all the wonderful times that my family spent with him at camp. He was closer to me than any uncle I've had. Seventh Lake is still my favorite place on planet earth and of course it was entirely because of him. He was the most beautiful human being that I've ever had the privilege to know.
I'm so happy that you can finally rest in peace, I have no doubts whatsoever that you, dad and Brian are watching down over all of us. Love always...

Ron Cole was an outstanding human being. As an artist, he found the beauty in life. As a teacher, he found the talents and passions within his students. Although I may not have appreciated his efforts when I was younger, I do so now as a father and as a school administrator. I have yet to come across an art teacher who could match Ron's talents. Ron, heaven is one hell of a canvas...paint away.

Heartfelt condolences to the family of a truly beautiful man! He will truly be missed. Not only did i have the opportunity of being his student but also got the chance to care for him for a period of time while working at St. Camillus. I will never forget his cheerful smile or beautiful singing. He graced everyone with his joy and happiness every day. May you look down on us each and every day sending us the beautiful rainbows that you caught us each to create! Will always love and miss you dearly!

Mr.Cole You will truly be missed by hundreds of us students . Every time I walked into your class the first thing I would see is your smile . So happy to see everyone of us just like it was the first day of school seeing new faces. I remember you trying so hard to get all of us to listen , learn , pay attention . When you talked about stepping stones from carriage days and I told you I knew where one was and you went and seen it, took pictures to show me how great it was too see me paying attention (very hard for me). Mr. Cole I would like to say Thank You for giving me and everyone else a chance at learning from a Master . You will be deeply missed.

Mr. Cole was a kind soul. He made everyone feel at ease. That is why his students, including myself, enjoyed class so much. He always had a smile on his face and when you spoke to him, you could tell he was always listening, really listening. There aren't many teachers like him any more. He will be truly missed.

Whenever I think of my time at Hazard Street School I always hear Mr. Cole's voice booming over the noise of the class. Later when I would be visiting Solvay and sang with the church choir, he was there again with that booming voice! I will always remember the joy he had for everything he did.
