My apologies for getting philosophical at times like these. We always seem to feel a sense of melancholy - a void, a loss- when a lifelong relationship comes to an end. Perhaps we feel our own vulnerability in that loss. It is nevertheless difficult to distill in a sentence or two a sense of that relationship. May the burden of your loss be lessened as we recall those special moments we have had the privilege of sharing - we share in the grief.
