Edwin Villhauer Sr. 83 of Syracuse passed away peacefully Thursday at the Van Duyn Home and Hospital. Born on Long Island NY in the town of Baldwin he was the eldest son of Jacob and Maria (Riel) Villhauer and graduated from Baldwin High School as one of the fabulous 49er's. He also volunteered for over 20 years at various concession stands at the Carrier Dome to support local youth groups. He was a member of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Syracuse. Edwin was an avid Syracuse University sports fan who enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, the NYS Fair, science, technology, classic movies. He was a thoughtful man who was always willing to help others. He will be missed by many. Edwin's family would like to thank the staff at the Van Duyn Home and Hospital and the Upstate University Hospital at Community General for their kindness, professionalism and thoughtfulness over the last several years.
