Ms. Caine always had faith in me, even when I didn't. She made my first year of college a breeze and unforgettable. Every time I saw her after graduation, she greeted me with a big hug and a smile. She'll be deeply missed, but her impact will never fade. Sending love and condolences to her family. Rest easy, Ms. Caine.

I worked with Yvonne for years. We used to ride to work together, and she was a wonderful way to start my day. Blessings, Yvonne.

Literally hundreds of students benefitted from Yvonne's guidance and help. She was completely devoted to the students with whom she worked. She understood better than almost anyone I ever met the difference between giving students what they wanted and giving students what they needed. She helped them by holding them accountable as well as giving them advice and with love. Yvonne also had high expectations for those of us on the faculty that she recruited to work with her students. I worked with her for many years in the mentoring program she pioneered. The students at the College were lucky to have her. Those of us on the faculty were lucky to get the chance to work with her.

Please accept my deepest condolences on the death of your wonderful mother. I worked with her closely when I was in the dean’s office and also when I went back to the faculty, as HEOP students needed to take the freshman history class I regularly taught. She was a joy to work with, a terrific role model for the students, and always had a wonderfully calm demeanor no matter what the crisis and that imparted confidence that it could be overcome.

Yvonne is a saint. Her love and compassion for her students greatly helped them to grow as people. Hey , she helped me to grow as a person just by observing her. I flat out loved her and all the ways she made people calm. Tom Muench
