Obituary of Glenn Middleton

Glenn Middleton (69) of Syracuse, NY passed away on December 25, 2023. Born in Savannah, GA on December 4, 1954, the second oldest child of Lucy Mae Stewart (Middleton) and Rudolf Middleton, Sr. The family moved to Syracuse, NY in 1969 where he attended St. Lucy’s Academy, starring on the Championship Basketball team with his brother Rudy. He then attended and graduated from Oswego College and Syracuse University. He met his first wife Antoinette Mike in Syracuse and together they accepted positions at DFY McCormick Center where they worked for many years. Life changes brought Glenn back to Syracuse where he decided to expand on the painting and construction business he started in Ithaca. Glenn was a master painter and taught the home improvement/construction trade to many over the years. He became a General Contractor, planning and managing construction projects from conception to completion.

Always capitalizing on an opportunity for improvement for his family, Glenn lived in many different towns and cities throughout the US including Atlanta, and Thomasville GA, San Diego, CA, and even Phoenix, AZ. Somehow he always managed to find his way back to Syracuse. Syracuse was home.
A believer in love and family Glenn was married on different occasions to Leslie Middleton, Melissa Middleton and finally Lynette Middleton. Glenn was a huge sports fan, basketball being his favorite. He gave as much as he could to as many as he could. Glenn remained a student of the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ throughout his life and he tried to maintain those values as best he could. May he rest in peace. He will be missed.

Glen was recently predeceased by his father, John Spencer Crane whom he loved dearly.

He is survived by his mother, Lucy Mae Crane, his children Pattron Middleton (Saraha) and Natasha Washington both of Syracuse as well as his 9 grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Rudolph Middleton, Jr., Anthony (Cynthia) Middleton, Patricia Middleton, Lamar Middleton, Sharon Middleton, Carolyn Middleton-Simon, Denise (Nate) Brown, John C. Crane, and Joseph I. (LaKeesha) Crane.
