Betty co-founded the Friends of Maxwell Memorial Library in 1993. She organized countless projects to support Maxwell, created the Unraveling Yarns book club, and delivered books to the Fairmount Senior Garden Apartments. Betty inspired all of us with her energy and enthusiasm for the library. Our group is honored to continue her wonderful legacy, and we offer our sincere condolences to her family. My mother, Dorothy Wehmann, was a very close friend of Betty's at Brookdale Summerfield. They shared many interests and meals together, and I know my mother always enjoyed their discussions and chats about books, knitting, and other topics. Betty was truly my mothers's favorite person to spend time with there. My sincere condolences go out to her family. My mother passed away in January of 2022, so I have not seen Betty in some time. She was always very friendly to me when I would see her at Brookdale. Alison Conley
