Obituary of Helen M. Driscoll

Helen “Nonnie” Driscoll 93, of Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully at Francis House with her family by her side on May 10, 2023. She was born to Sybil and William Porter of Fayetteville, NY on March 1, 1930.

She is survived by son, Albert Driscoll Jr., daughter, Linda Driscoll (Robert Lyon), daughter, Nancy (David) Taylor, granddaughters, Sarah (Tim) Clark and Meghan Taylor. She is also survived by her beloved great grandchildren, Abigail, Evan, and Lydia, and sister Veronica Solomon of California. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Driscoll and sisters, Katherine Taylor, Anna Carhart, Elizabeth Geary, and brother, William Porter.

Helen loved her gardens, spending time with family and friends, cooking and baking. A special thank you to faithful friends Ron, Liz and Donna for their many visits over the past years. Also the nurses, aides and volunteers at hospice for all their help and all the angels at Francis House for their loving, compassionate care. 

Services and burial at Onondaga Veterans Cemetery will be private at a later date per Helen’s wishes.
