Obituary of Catherine A. Hubert
Cathy Hubert, 58, of Syracuse passed away at Roswell Park in Buffalo after a lengthy illness with cancer. She was born in Syracuse where she resided her whole life. She was an avid cat lover and over the years treasured her cats, Elvis, Allie, Olivia, and Annie. Cathy also sponsored two Central American girls through Unbound an international nonprofit founded by lay Catholics. She deeply loved her family and was a friend to many.
Cathy was an employee of NY Telephone - Verizon for 23 years. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church in Fairmount. Cathy had a great faith, loved her religion, and was devoted to the Divine Mercy.
She was predeceased by her mother, Anna (Erwin) Hubert.
Survivors: her father, Joseph Hubert; two brothers, Joseph M. and David (Frederica) Hubert; a nephew, Daniel James; and her fiance, John Wirth.
Services: 11 am Tuesday, March 14, at Holy Family Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. A calling hour will be from 10 am to 11 am Tuesday at the Church prior to the Mass.
