Obituary of Marjorie M. Glavin
Marjorie Marie Glavin was born Marjorie Marie Burns on September 23, 1922 in at her grandmother’s home in
Lyons, New York. She attended Most Holy Rosary School in Syracuse, NY. Marjorie married Robert M. Glavin
and lived her life as a mother and a homemaker. Marjorie loved to cook for her family and sew clothes for her
daughters.
Most recently she resided at The Chenango Valley Home in Norwich, N.Y. where Marjorie lived to be 100 years
old. Marjorie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert M. Glavin, her brothers, Robert Burns, William
Burns, John Burns and Thomas Burns.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Lascaris who resides in Syracuse. Her daughters, Kathleen Glavin, Mary (Bill)
Steele and Patricia (Don) Yott, 2 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her daughters would like to thank the staff at Chenango Valley Home for their support and care of Marjorie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am Thursday, October 20 in the Chapel at Most Holy Rosary Church. A
calling hour will be from 10-11 am prior to Mass in the Chapel. The Rite of Committal will be in St. Mary’s
Cemetery Mausoleum.
