Obituary of Allan W. Hull Sr.

Please share a memory of Allan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Allan W. Hull Sr., 83 of Baldwinsville, NY passed away on Tuesday, June 28th at Crouse Hospital. Allan was born in Syracuse, NY to the late Oran and Eveline Hull. He was a proud US Airforce Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 24 Honor Guard. Allan worked as a truck driver for Cleveland Plant and Flower for many years. Allan was a loving husband to his bride of 57 years, Frances. His known by those who love him by dad, poppy and Gramp.

Allan was most well known for spending his time telling stories which almost always ended with “Like this here” or being himself by cracking a joke or scaring the day lights out of you. He is known for his world class holiday displays and won multiple awards for this which he took great pride in. His most favorite holidays were Halloween and Christmas. He loved his music and enjoyed sharing it with others as he recently was appointed DJ for St. Mary’s Apartments events. He took great pride in this and was a good friend and neighbor to many. His love for all things related to junking and the flea market led to many great finds and a few good arguments with his wife. He could never pass up a great find or a good deal. Taking a ride on a Sunday afternoon is what we enjoyed most as a family as long as he kept his eyes on the road instead of on the deer. Allan was most proud of his loving wife and family as he spent most of his days teaching them the joys of a good laugh and the importance of always being there for your family.

He was predeceased by both his parents, Oran and Eveline Hull, his brother Richard Hull, his sister Susan Meyers and his daughter, Tammy Louima.

Surviving are his wife, Frances, daughters Deborah (Joel) Frye, Rene’ (Gary) McMonagle and Heather (Ben) Wood and his son Allan Hull Jr. Also survived by his son-in-law, Jedidja Louima and many nieces and nephews. He had fourteen grandchildren – John Michael, Mindy, James, Erica, Matthew, Nathaniel, Zechariah, Rebekkah, Jarred, Cameron, Kaitlyn and Ava. He also has 10 great grandchildren.
