Uncle Bruce was like a second father to me when I lost my dad at 13. He was a huge influence on me and many of us youngsters growing up around South Ave during the 1970’s. He always gave good advice on questions we might have had and would always set you straight if you were wrong. His and his son Kurt’s love for parachuting and skydiving was a big reason why I wanted to enlist in the US Army and become a Paratrooper. He always had great jumping stories to tell and there was a beautiful and huge painting in his living room of Saint Michael and paratroopers that Delores had done and that I always loved looking at. He always had a dry, crude and sometimes (more often than most) horrible joke or smart remark, but he always made you smile afterwards when he would laugh at his own jokes. I hope God has a good sense of humor, because he’s going to get his fair share. Uncle Bruce was a fantastic man, husband, father and overall human being. We love you and will dearly miss you. We will always remember you for who you were, the perfect person.
