I remember the first time I met Shirley, she was about to write a ticket for my car, actually an undercover city police car, and I ran out from where I was and asked for a break; she smiled and moved on. Throughout her many years with the Syracuse Police Department, it was obvious the city of Syracuse was lucky to have Shirley working for them. She was a dedicated and devoted employee: always smiling and always a kind word. If we could of cloned her, we would have gotten more work done. After she retired, I would run into her at Wegmans and we would chat. She will be missed.
