Concetta "Connie" (Mellace) Nigro, 95, of Syracuse passed away at home December 30, 2019. She was born on August 3, 1924 to the late Anthony and Frances Mellace. She was a longtime communicant of St. Brigid's Church and volunteered at the food pantry. Connie enjoyed Syracuse Football and was a great cook and baker. Her cookies, homemade cannoli's and pasta were the best. But she was most famous for her "meatball cookies". Connie's last sweet baked was cream puffs on Christmas.
