Obituary of Harvey R. Olin

Harvey R. Olin, 82, of Fairmount passed away peacefully Saturday at home. He was a graduate of Eastwood High School and a US Marine Corps veteran. Harvey was retired after many years as an electrician with P & C Foods. He was a member of the Knights of the Cross, was an avid golfer, hunter, and enjoyed sports with his children and grandchildren. Harvey was predeceased by his parents, Ina and Clifford and his brother, James. Survivors: his wife of 60 years, Joan (Scott) Olin; son, Michael (Kathy), daughter, Cathleen (Timothy) Spencer, sons, Mark, David, and Richard (Jennifer); grandchildren, Sheena, Brook, Eric, Amber, Richard Jr., and Scott; several great grandchildren; brother, Duane and sister, Freda; several nieces and nephews. Services: 10 am Saturday at Tindall Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Calling Hours will be 4 to 7 pm Friday at the funeral home, 1921 W Genesee St., Syracuse.
