Obituary of Stanley P. Kowalczyk
Stanley P. "Coffee" Kowalczyk, 95, of Syracuse, passed away on Friday peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Syracuse he attended Vocational High School. Coffee was a US Army veteran of WWII. He retired from Onondaga County as a maintenance supervisor, was a bus driver for Westhill School District, and a landscaper for Westvale Gardens. Coffee was a lifetime member of Camillus Country Club. He was predeceased by his son, Francis in 2008.
Survivors: his wife of 71 years, "Dinny" Kowalczyk; son, John (Anne) Kowalczyk of Syracuse; grandchildren, Jason and Anastasia; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services: 9:30am Friday at Tindall Funeral Home and 10am at St. Charles Church 501 S. Orchard Rd., where a Mass Of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial with military honors will follow at Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Calling Hours will be 4 to 7 pm Thursday at Tindall Funeral Home 1921 W. Genesee Street.
In lieu of flowers, contribtutions may be made to The St. Charles St. Ann's Food Pantry, 4461 Onondaga Blvd. Syracuse, NY 13219.
