Obituary of Jean M. Christopher

Jean M. (Carocci) Christopher, 89, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at home with her daughter Deb at her side. Born to John and Angeline Carocci, she was raised on the north side with her brothers and sisters. Jean loved her life as a homemaker and at age 70 began working at Walmart for the next 19 years, retiring as a highly respected employee. She was known for her family gatherings and specialty dishes. Jean touched people in special way and took a genuine interest in everyone she met. Her children were the greatest joy of her life.

Jean was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, Leonard, and her brothers and sisters.

Survivors: sons, Leonard (Irene) and John Paul (Beth); daughter, Deborah (Kevin) Lake; grandchildren, Leonard (Shelly), Matthew (Jennifer), Michael (Jen), Gregory (Shonda), Justin (Katie), Gina (Ron); great grandchildren, Madilynn, Mariah, Adriana, Avery, Reid, Pierce; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 9:30am Tuesday at Tindall Funeral Home and 10am at St. Patrick Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 pm Monday at the funeral home, 1921 W Genesee St.
