Mary Bowers Page
June 12, 2012
Mary Bowers Page, 90, of Solvay passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 surrounded by
love. She was born May 28, 1922 at home to T. Dwight and Harriett Bowers and was a
lifetime Solvay resident. She grew up on a poultry farm and spent most of her childhood
days outside playing in the sunshine. Mary recently celebrated her 90th birthday at her
childhood home and said it was her happiest birthday ever. A 1940 graduate of Solvay
High School, Mary was employed by Muench-Kreuzer Candle Company and St. Joseph's
Hospital. Her most treasured job was being a homemaker and mother to her three
children. Inheriting her love of the NY Yankees from her father, it has now been passed
down through four generations. Mary loved being a mom, had a wonderful sense of
humor, was a hard worker, and had more talents than there is space to describe.
With sadness, she was predeceased by Irving, her wonderful husband of 39
years. Together they built their family home with hard work and love. Mary was also
predeceased by her parents, two sisters and a brother.
Survivors: She is survived by her three children who loved her very much, Janice (Henry) Balduzzi of Liverpool, Kevin (Lorraine) Page of Solvay, and Gail (Joseph) Quinn of Solvay, grandchildren Andrew (Layla) and Neil (Samantha) Balduzzi, Ian Quinn, great grandson Reece Balduzzi, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as her faithful dog, Lana. She spent many happy hours with home caregivers, Carm and Carole, to whom we send our heartfelt
thanks. A great lover of dogs, she is also survived by her "grand-dogs" Carly, Darcy,
Cassie, and Bella.
Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Tindall Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 1921 W Genesee St.

Mary will be missed dearly, and remembered with love for the rest of our days.
