Obituary of Kathleen Lynne Zollo

Kathleen "Kitty" Lynne (Closson) Zollo June 13, 2012 The Lord called Kathleen (Kitty) Zollo to become an angel on Wednesday, June13th, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, NY after a courageous battle of illness. Kathleen was born on March 9, 1952 in Ithaca, NY. She graduated from Ithaca High School and served in the United States Navy for 7 years. Kathleen worked for NY Telephone and Bell South for 25 years and AT&T for 5 years. Kathleen married Robert Zollo and were together for 22 years. Kathleen will always be remembered because of her personality and selfless dedication to her family and her 2 lovely daughters. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, her children unequivocally were her greatest achievements followed by her 2 grandchildren. Kitty loved dancing, playing Bingo, bowling, and doing crafts. She was always the life of the party. She was predeceased by her mother, Shirley (Herson) Wright. Survivors: Kathleen is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Robert Zollo of Syracuse; her daughters, Christina Closson-Rivera of N. Syracuse and Robyn Closson of Las Vegas; and her 2 grandsons, Tyler Sealey and Aiden Micale. Services: 11 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine's Church, O'Brien Road, Baldwinsville where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will be private at St. Mary's Mausoleum in DeWitt, NY. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W. Genesee St. Kathleen will be greatly missed by all her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.
