Obituary of Alberta M. Koegel

Alberta "Libby" Koegel March 17, 2012 Alberta Mattiello Koegel, 73, of Syracuse passed away Saturday after a brief illness. Born in Syracuse, she was a graduate of St. Lucy's class of 1956. She was an active member of St. Joseph's Church in Camillus and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She remained in close contact with many old friends and enjoyed gathering for monthly luncheons. She was predeceased by her husband Henry "Mickey" Koegel in 1989. Survivors: son, Mark (Melissa Gigliotti) Koegel; step grandson, Steven Gigliotti; brother in law, Pete Herbert; brother in law Tom (Marge) Koegel; sister in law, Agnes Koegel; sister in law, Toni Carapella; several nieces and nephews; extended loving family, Steve (Tina) Bourgeois, Stacey Pitcher, John Mulcahy. Services: 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Church, 5600 W Genesee St., Camillus. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St., Syracuse.
