Back in school, Carrie was the girl who never had a bad day. She was her own person, simply unaffected by anyone or anything. I was fortunate enough in my youth to count her as a friend, and consider myself a better person for having been so. I'll miss her and remember her fondly, as all of us will who ever saw her shine.

When we lose someone we love it seems that time stands still.
What moves through us is a silence... a quiet sadness...
A longing for one more day... one more word... one more touch... ... See More
We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye,
but little by little, we will begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived.
And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
We will see you again some day, in a heavenly place where there is no parting.
A place where there are no words that mean good-bye.

We first met online in a Buddhist Group. There we learned about how incredible you are. You mind, heart, compassion, strength. I felt as if we had so much in common and felt and thought alike about many things. Then we were very lucky to visit with you in person and spend time with you and your family and your love and strength just radiated from you. We both could feel your heart. We admired your wit, your intelligence and so when you asked Drupon if you could start the center in Syracuse we both knew that you would be perfect for that with your leadership , organizational skills, but most of all your compassionate and kind nature. I enjoyed our long phone conversations, and felt you were a confidant and I could tell you anything. I know how hard you were trying to make things happen and I admire you so much. Many times we mentioned it felt like we were sisters. Saggitarius women maybe I am not sure. a few weeks ago I became worried that I hadn't heard from you and felt maybe you were going through something so we called to check on you. You said you were doing well and were just very busy.Super Carrie!! Eamon was is so fortunate to have the best Mom and I admire and cherish how much love you poured into him. When the took you off life support I was in the yard by the lake with my dogs. I am in the yard every evening with the dogs and there are usually dark birds in the trees in the middle of the lake in the evenings. That night there were 7 white snowy egrets (ACHI birds) all clustered together like the were sitting in Vigil for you. I could feel you. I am sorry you and Eamon won't be able to come and stay with us like we were planning. I am also sorry about Ed. He was a sweet , sweet man. We love you and you will never leave me Carrie, my sister, my friend. I will hold you in my heart forever and ever and do my best to follow your wonderful example of what a loving, kind, trustworthy, nurturing, hardworking compassionate person should be. Love, Pam
hope we meet again...

"May I be a guard for those without one,
A guide for all who journey on the road,
May I become a boat, a raft or bridge,
For all who wish to cross the water.
May I be an isle for those desiring landfall,
And a lamp for those who wish for light,
May I be a bed for those who need to rest,
And a servant for all who live in need.
May I become a wishing jewel, a magic vase,
A powerful mantra and a medicine of wonder,
May I be a tree of miracles granting every wish,
And a cow of plenty sustaining all the world.

Dear Richard,
I am so sorry to hear about Carrie's death. I have done Phowa and other prayers for her. Also right now we are in the middle of 100 million Amitabha mantra recitation, and so we did prayers for her there too. Actually, it seems that she died at the same moment that we were finishing our morning session that day, and we heard from Gretchen within a few minutes of her passing.
Please share this with Carrie's loved ones, if you haven't already done so.
Yours,
Drupon

May Carrie be at ease in her transitions.
May there be comfort in the tears of loved ones,
each tear, a celebration of her life.
May there be many stories shared,
to draw out the laughter...
and invoke the sweetness.
May these be written down
to pass on to the child
who chose her as his vessel,
to deliver him to this life.
May she be delivered to What Is Next with love.

Carrie, you are one of most greatest people that I have ever had a chance to meet in my life. Our years with The Media Unit and at the WMU were filled with hard work, long hours of repetition, and dedication to commitment in striving for excellence made it fun because we knew that we were all apart of something bigger than ourselves. We were able to spread a message of hope and help to a hurting world. But also, those experiences brought us closer together and made us all a family. May this candle shine as bright as your wonderful smile and your beautiful spirit. I love you always Carrie and I'll miss you.
Your Media Unit Brother,
Damien
P.S. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all members of the Reagan and Willoughby families in the memory of Edward as well. May God continue to comfort, strengthen, and keep you in your time of need. And for Eamon...With everything in life, Always look to God for strength and guidance, Always know and remember that your Mom and Dad love you very much...and whatever you choose to pursue in life: Always think positive, Always show respect and help others as much and as often as you can, and most important of all, Don't just Be Good...BE GREAT.

One of the memories I have about you, Carrie, is how much you reminded me of my Stacey and how flattered you both were by it; both pretty, precocious little fair skinned, dark haird girls. It has been a pleasure getting to spend time with you these past few trips out there, you, all grown up now and a great mom, so much fun to be with. Our trip to your workplace, The Boxcar Press . . . you took such pride in showing us around and it was fun meeting all your co-workers. What a neat, interesting place, like the adult you had become. And lets not forget all that wonderful paper! You know me, your Grandma's freaky paper friend! Our lunch out, the three of us, at that funky little sidewalk cafe you took us to. Yummy, we ate like tree queens! You, the young queen, always making me feel so welcome in your family. What a sweetheart! I don't know how your mother can stand the pain and I don't know why she has to, it's all too much to bear. Thankfully you have one heck of a family who will stand up behind Eamon and your mother to see that he is loved and cared for the way you and Ed would want. With loyal, devout, love and support from family and friends, you and Ed will forever live in Eamon's heart. Love like that never goes away but continues to grow; it's endless. Unfortunately, the pain of such great loss does not go away either but I pray that as time goes by, it will soften. My love, sympathy, tears and prayers are with all your dear loved ones who have lost so much.
