I have always wished the best for you Ed....I remember the day you told me you were going to be a dad....the joy in your voice was remarkable! I was thinking of you recently, with St Pattys day coming up...and St Baldricks........I can't believe you're gone...I pray that Carrie pulls thru and that you will look over them...until you meet again.

The Lord works in mysterious ways, the ins and outs of His plan we will never know. you taught me how to forgive and forget the small things that didnt really matter, to make the life you live, the life you LOVE. and mostly, family first. . you are my and many others gaurdian angel now, please guide me in my times of uncertainty. Lord be with Carrie and comfort Eamon, forever in my heart, I love you uncle Ed..

Dear Brother-
If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane
We would walk right up to heaven And bring you back again.
No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye
You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why
Our hearts still ache in sadness and lots of tears still flow
What it meant to lose you, no one will ever know
But now we know you want us to mourn for you no more
To remember all the happy times, life still has much in store
Since you'll never be forgotten, we pledge to you today
A cherished place within our hearts
Is where you'll always stay
~I miss you.... 138

Ed, your kind spirit and caring ways will never be forgotten. I grieve for your family and especially for little Eamon because you were taken from him far too soon. We are all praying for Carrie and hoping for the best. I'm not sure of how to say goodbye to someone who has touched my life and shared so much (especially those silly irish sayings with an exaggerated irish accent you'd toss in for good fun). So I'll say goodbye to you with an irish farewell that you used to frequently recite.... "May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. May the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, May the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand." Goodbye my friend. I know you'll be guiding and protecting Eamon in your Irish manner from your new home.

I will never forget how much you loved to joke around, how happy you were even in the face of adversity, and how much you absolutely loved your son. My heart aches to know that he won't have you to teach him to be a strong man. I feel like the world should be crying with me. I remember how quietly you gave what you could to me when I needed it and I will never forget it.From the bottom of my heart - rest in peace.

My heart goes out to Ed's family, he was a great guy and a wonderful father who will be missed by so many. The little snips of time that I was honored to spend with Ed were sweet in that they were paired with the time he shared with Eamon, Carrie & others of Carrie's family who are close friends of mine. I especially loved getting to see the video of Ed and Eamon singing Irish songs, Eamon's great grandmother Eva Travers, my dear friend, shared with me. What a joy to see them singing, Eamon so small but knowing the words his dad had taught him. And then there was the pirate party, both looking very handsome in their pirate outfits. My prayers are with you all during this sad time. I pray that God will ease the pain in your hearts as you grieve for your loved one.

We will miss you so much Eddie… over the past few days every memory that has come into my mind has been one of humor. You made us laugh so through the years… the way you would hum the Birthday song… Papa telling you “cool off Eddie”… fun times at the Frizzi camp in the summer where you had to be wearing just the right scuba mask to stick your head under water… riding in Aunt Eileen’s car the day a bad storm was coming and she was yelling to some kids outside “run for your lives it’s the end of the world!” I look forward to seeing your fun spirit live on in little Eamon, and I pray that Carrie will get to see that too. God Bless… And until we meet again, may he hold you in the palm of his hand.

Carrie and Gail were always so proud of you and your relationship with Eamon. He was so lucky to have you as his Dad. You have a wonderful family that will take care of Eamon and Carrie. I can not imagine the pain and sorrow that you feel. I know my heart dropped to my stomach when I found out about your loss. Your family has been more "family" than any other relatives. I've always felt I had more siblings than just two brothers. Please know that if there was a way to send hugs I'd already have sent them. I love and miss everybody.
