Obituary of Helen T. Jurkiewicz

Helen T. Jurkiewicz October 17, 2011 Helen T. Urbaniak Jurkiewicz, 85, of Syracuse passed away Monday. Born in Poland, she was a communicant of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Alfred J. Jurkiewicz in 1992 and by a grandson, Aaron Thomas Pettitt. Survivors: her daughter, Elizabeth (Bernard) Pettitt of Syracuse; 3 grandchildren, Lisa (Frank) Congdon, Martha (Jason) Rockwell, and Nicholas Pettitt; 5 great grandchildren, Thomas, Emma, Taylor, Brandon, and Sianey. Services: 9:00 a.m. Friday at Tindall Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. at Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Geddes. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 1921 W Genesee St. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North St., Liverpool, NY 13088 or ARC Rome NY, 8163 Gore Rd., Rome, NY 13440.
