Dear Grandma, I know you loved to receive letters, so I wanted to write one and say thank you. I'm blessed in many ways for having you as my grandma. You showed us what it meant to be ambitious, determined, diligent, courtious and loving. I'll keep all the memories that made you my grandma in my heart, and occasionally have a beer with my pie, play a scrabble game, or try to beat my dad at a game of trivial persuit. :) Your spirit and the lessons you taught me will live on through my family. My Dear Mary and Family, Please accept my condolences on your Mom's passing. I still have a picture in my mind of your Mom at Holy Family every Sunday while I was growing up. Even then I could sense the aura of her inner strength as she proudly led your Dad and her gaggle of children. From the awesome obituary, I can now see why – it was both inner AND outer strength she was humbly exuding! I'm sure she shared a myriad of interesting anecdotes about her life with you all through the years. What a legacy. I wish I had gotten to know her.
