Jim was a kind and generous soul who loved his family so much. I am grateful I was able to know him as long as I did.
He will be missed and remembered always.

when I was a very impressionable 20-something, Mr. Dwyer and Mike were in Manhattan cruising museums; they met me for a cocktail at a trendy cafe in midtown east. his broad smile, his gentle way, his great stories...I felt like the cat's pajamas just hanging out with such a cool guy who was more at home in NYC than I would ever be. Thank you Jim for treating me like my Dad used to. I will forever remember feeling safe and happy with you. Love to you and your family, Liz xoxo

I remember Jim from when I was a young lad. He lived in an apartment in my grandparents' home. I still see the image of an easy-going and friendly person.
I used to marvel at his paintings and always was excited to try and "figure out the meaning." Never with much success however. He would exhibit great patience with my unending questions!
Actually I ended up painting his old studio for my grandparents and have to admit Jim would not have thought that my color combinations were all that great!
I am sorry to not have connected with him over the years but I will always remember him as the kind and gentle person he was.
I am pleased to know that he found a happy and prosperous life with his family and his art.
Please accept my sympathies on your loss.

Jim was such a delight to talk with. It was an honor to exhibit with him at the Delavan Gallery, and he will be so missed, and always remembered with great fondness.

I will miss my friend of many many years. He was truly devoted to his family and will be remembered for his wonderful jazz filled works. A great painter who kept the spirit of the abstract alive in his work. Sadly he will be missed by many. Here's to that last conversation we had Jim and to the many hall way visits at the Delavan.
