Obituary of Angelo F. Charles

Angelo F. Charles April 11, 2011 Angelo F. Charles, 94, of Solvay passed away Monday at home surrounded by his family. Born in Solvay, he was a graduate of Solvay High School. He retired as a draftsman from Rollway Bearing in 1985 after 45 years. He was a former member of Westvale Golf Club, enjoyed fixing things, and planning home projects for his family. He was predeceased by his brothers, Jim and Bill Charles. Survivors: his wife of 61 years, Sophie Medyn Charles; daughter Sharon (John) Penalva; his beloved grandchildren, Jason and Joanna; grand puppy Bradley; sister, Eleanor Gronau; brother Nick Charles; several nieces and nephews. Services: 8:30 a.m. Friday at Tindall Funeral Home and 9:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Church, 1001 Woods Rd., Solvay. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
